Ashifumi Massage
Hotel Kanronomori is extremely proud of the fact that we have the founder of Ashifumi massages in the Niseko area based at our Hotel. It doesn' t really matter what time of the year it is, anytime is a great time to treat your self to a Ashifumi Massage.
So what is Ashifumi? it is a form of massage that uses the sole of the foot to apply pressure to the body and slowly, with technical precision firmly release the tension that is built up in the muscles.
The results acheived with an Ashifumi massage, are actually acheived becasue the blood flow around the body in emensely, the flow of blood through the Lymph nodes improves and many of the problems go away. Ashifumi is great for strained muscles, aches and pains and general fatigue.
For people that don't like Shiatsu, Reflexology and Gyro and Thai forms of massage. This is the perfect option, delivered gently so you feel at ease there is absolutely no anxiety involved at all.
The Art of Ashifumi can be traced back 200 years ago when the almightly Budha's father, became ill he was treated using Ashifumi techniques and his illness was cured and he became healthy again and the begginings of Ashifumi were started.
Buddist monks go through a very intense and diffficult training process and they would use the soles of their feet to relax and remove the tension of their training from their bodies, the techniques were yet again enhanced
Time moved on an in Japan it become frowned upon to use your feet to massage another persons body, the art of Ashifumi as a massage become restricted to just a very few.
Ashifumi could be explained as a Hokkaido only form of massage that has become extremely popular in the Winter sports area of Niseko, many visitors to the region try this unique form of massage while they are here.
The process works extremely well on the frozen and tense bodies of snowboarders and Skiers, by gently improving the blood flow around the body the body warms up and the fatigue goes away.
It is highly reccomend that you drink lots of water and have a Onsen after a Ashifumi massge to further enhance the results. When you come to Niseko in Hokkaido make sure you come and give Ashifumi a try.
