Yuki Korogashi are a collaboration between Hotel Kanronomori and Milk Kobo one of our regions most spectacular bakeries and most famous places to visit when you are in Niseko.

The name Yuki korogashi comes from the Heian period of Japan when the ladies of the court used to go outside and make snowballs that they would later melt for water, this was an extremely popular pastime and the water from the snow was considered to be the most pure of all water.

Here in Niseko we get more snowfall thatn any other part of Japan, deep and fluffy, the snow conditions here are incredible. The yukikorogashi cookies we have produced in conjunction with Milk Kobo are amazingly light and very tasty, the perfect Niseko original gift to take home with you to any part of the world.

What is the Coolstar limo

The Coolstar Limousine Bus service is yet another fantastic way to arrive in Niseko in style. Coolstar provide comfortable luxurious transport in fully converted late model Toyota Coaster Buses.

The limousine bus can be likened to a Lair Jet, with Luxurious White Leather reclining armchairs and a luxurious leather sofa. There is full cabin attendance during your travel and complimetary refreshments have also been provided for in your reservation price.

The Vehicle is a 9 seater vehicle however to truely enjoy the confort and versitility that this vehicle can offer Coolstar recomend it for 6-7 passengers. The passenger area is fully equipped with a Toilet, Refrigerator, Television, CD and DVD.

There are special seperate seats for the Driver and the Guide, who accompany you on your travels and look after your individual needs and requirements. Coolstar can provide the type of service that you can only expect from a smaller Tour company. Coolstar can also assist you in putting together a Tour Itinerary that suits your needs.

Carbon Offset

This option adopts the system where Cool Star, Co., Ltd. balances out the amount of carbon dioxide emitted by Starlimousine with the emission quotas which are obtained within the U.N. certified greenhouse gas reduction projects by purchasing the small-lot emission quotas from ECONOS Co., Ltd.(Headquarters located in Sapporo ), a carbon offset provider, who opens a directory management account for each country for emission quotas which the Japanese government controls.

The option price is ￥800/day/coach which has been calculated according to the amount of gas emission based on the running performance of the company last year, and it is totally up to our customer to decide whether they choose to apply for the option or not when they make a booking. This option can be applied to all travel plans using Starlimousine, and Cool Star, Co., Ltd. will offer “ECOCO”(a token to acknowledge your contribution) to those who apply for the option.

Cool Star, Co., Ltd. intends to keep offering carbon offset options for 6 % worth of the total carbon dioxide emission by all our coaches(based on the Japan’s reduction target value according to the Kyoto Protocol) no matter how many applicants we have for the options.

Kutchan Medical Translation Initiatives, where you make the difference

For those of you who are living in the district or are visting the district and would like to learn a little more Japanese to assist in the event of a medical emergency this may be just what you have been waiting for. The Kutchan International Assistance Association is pleased to be hosting a series of 3 Medical Translation study groups at the Kutchan Heath Centre, there are no requirements for joining the study sessions and the purpose is to improve communication levels for the medical workers and secondly the patients that are appearing in the Hospital over the winter period.

This initiative will be an on going initiative with fully qualifyed International Medical assistants attending the study sessions from Sapporo and there is also support from much of the local International community, if you would like to make a difference and help the community become more customer orientated please do not hesitate to come along.

The Furuai Bus is a combination of several different Bus services that were offered in the Niseko Town Area (School Bus, Aged Care Bus, Town Bus) There are several different area's that the bus covers and when the routes were devised alot of the area's more popular sightseeing spots were also included.

The buses run on Bio Diesel which is made in Niseko Town from recycled cooking oil from the different Hotel and pensions and have all been recently adapted with cycle racks on them for people to get their cycles around the district alot easier as well.

Great for Shopping and getting into the Restaurants in Niseko Town, for cycling and for seeing the district.

Sumiko Shikanai is a well known and highly acclaimed photographer that specializes in scenery shots of the area that she lives in and has a true passion for. Sumiko Shikanai's photo's have great depth and are really worth a visit to out to Hotel Kanronomori to have a look at. While you are here try a Onsen and have a cup of coffee while pondering over the extreme beauty and depth of Sumiko's amazing collection.

The exhibitition is a brief insight into the talent of Sumiko Shikanai, who has achieved many awards for her work and was the winner of the recent Niseko photo competitions.

The Exibition is on from the 22nd of July until the 3rd of August 2008.

Location

Niseko Kids is located on the first floor of the ‘Shi Shi’ Restaurant building at the base of the Niseko Village Gondola, in the Higashiyama area of the area. Distance wise it is located approx 15 minutes away from Hotel Kanronomori. The Niseko Kids complex is one of the most advanced Kids centres in Niseko and your children are sure to have an amazing time.

Access

Taxi to the Higashima area is the quickest and most efficient way to get your children the Childcare centre, how ever by booking in advance the Niseko Kids shuttle will be able to pick you up and drop you off at Niseko Kids.
Parents can accompany their children to and from Niseko Kids.
Parents can ski from Niseko Kids and meet their children again at the end of their program to return to their hotel together.
Niseko Kids can offer a pick-up and drop off service from other areas and hotels in Hirafu and Annapuri (conditions may apply).
Pickup and Drop off locations must be confirmed at time of reservation.
